Very good short stories—nothing as good as, for example, Slaughter-House Five or Cat’s Cradle, but much better than I expected from a posthumous release. A lot of these were written early in Vonnegut’s career and are enjoyably different from the routine he developed as an older writer, but with flashes of endearing humanism.
